Cellar Door Winery

Lincolnville, Maine — Hospitality + Resort

Ervin Architecture is designing the next phase of Cellardoor, a 31-acre estate vineyard in midcoast Maine. The work adds a two-story restaurant barn beside the pond, a dedicated wedding and events venue overlooking the vineyard, a pool with patio and bar where the parking lot used to be, and a 35-room hotel expansion with six walk-out suites. Six building types on one site, sited so the property still reads as a working farm rather than a resort.

Medical Office Complex

Ridgewood Drive, Bangor, Maine — Medical Office

A 12,500 square foot single-story medical office building planned as four tenant suites on Bangor's Ridgewood Drive medical corridor. The site is wooded and undeveloped, with no municipal sewer — so parking, septic field, setbacks, and building footprint all draw from the same fixed acreage. The site plan was solved before the floor plan was.

Sugarloaf Mountain Home

Carrabassett Valley, Maine — Residential

A 4,000 square foot four-season home on a lot adjacent to a new ski trail spur at Sugarloaf, with a double-height living room, indoor-outdoor fireplace, and a master suite above. Most of the glass faces northwest — the coldest wall in western Maine, and the only direction with a view of the Carrabassett Valley and the Bigelow Range. The house is tucked into the mountainside and oriented for solar gain east and west.

Downtown Office Renovation

Bangor, Maine — Adaptive Reuse + Commercial Office

A 10,000 square foot gut renovation of a 19th-century brick warehouse across from Penobscot Plaza, a block off the Penobscot River. New elevator, new egress stairs, expanded conference rooms, and offices rebuilt for daylight and circulation. All original windows are being replaced with Marvin direct glaze, the envelope waterproofed, and the brick sealed for the first time.
