We are an architecture firm with offices in Maine & Florida

Ervin Architecture works across music venues, restaurants and bars, nightclubs, hospitality, medical offices, and custom homes. Most firms with that range don’t do design work. Most design firms stay in one sector. We do both.

We know how buildings get built. We are sophisticated in our ability to coordinate construction projects so they deliver what is contained in our construction documents. A good example of this was the success of Maine Savings Amphitheater, the largest assembly venue north of Boston, delivered across multiple phases while the venue kept operating.

The work has been published in Dezeen, ARCHITECT, Dwell, the Wall Street Journal, and many other industry publications. We’ve won a number of awards, including VenuesNow Amphitheater of the Year and MEREDA Project of the Year for Maine Savings Amphitheater, and NanaWall’s Restaurant of the Year and the Maine AIA People’s Choice Award for KANÙ.

We use Revit and BIM on every project, along with 3D renderings, virtual reality, and hand sketching. These are tools for both parties — they enhance the dialogue with our clients and represent ideas in captivating ways that convey them clearly.

In consultation with our architect Ervin Architecture, it was important to use woods throughout the space since wooden canoes were the first canoes my family produced here. Our connections to Old Town Canoe inspired the name KANÙ.
